Enrich Your Prayers at our New Website!

Welcome to our new and renovated home! The Praying Through the Bible Project enters its 10th year with more offerings, more options for our followers, readers, and patron members. And we’ve redesigned the website after many of your comments and suggestions. Resources are easier to find and read. We’ve added some new features, such as the prayer board. Our podcasts are now more consistent and easier to listen to on a number of platforms.

We believe that the world could use more time in prayer. Our goal remains the same.: to study the prayers of the Bible (and beyond) to enrich our own prayers.

We continue to offer free content, as always, but also offer a couple of subscription options for those who would like to support our ongoing work.

Here are some of the new and renovated features.

  1. Podcasts. These podcasts offer an alternative way to access each of our blogs—many readers told us they’d rather listen than read. You can follow the podcast to access all free content, or subscribe through Patreon to access the premium content. Each podcast episode will be available on this website, as well as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Audible.
  2. Prayer Studies. These are the articles just as we began 10 years ago. Each post is a study of a prayer from the Bible: background, meaning, and application. We began in Genesis and are now up to the book of Job. By popular request, we will also be posting other prayers and thoughts about prayer, not just the biblical studies.
  3. Prayer Studies by Biblical Book. Have a look at our new method of accessing all prayer studies (articles and podcasts) by biblical book—so much easier to find and use! With one click, a dynamic page reloads with just the posts from the book you want to study.
  4. Our books. A new section that lists all of our Praying Through the Bible books, collections of what is posted here, plus more content. More will be added in the coming months.
  5. Book reviews. Another popular request, this is a section of book reviews on prayer and other devotional books. Moreover, YOU can tell us about a book you have read and have it posted for others to check out.
  6. Prayer Board. This was requested by many people, and it fits into our goal of having more interaction from our readers. You can post a prayer request, a thanksgiving, a vow (any of the categories of prayer we espouse here!). Others can use this as a prayer list, where we can pray and give thanks for each other. You can post anonymously, if you wish.
  7. Newsletter. Not new, but we have redesigned it as well and will continue to send it out once a month. It includes updates, news, prayer requests, discounts on books, and more. Click here to subscribe!

Thank you to all of our readers, patrons, and followers, for helping us with our goal to make the world a more prayerful place. Blessings!
